I can’t believe 2016 is almost over – thank goodness! It’s been a weird year for all of us it seems, so let’s hope 2017 brings some much needed positive change. Speaking of which…I posted about something on social media earlier – @MissAl_Leigh on Twitter & Instagram – that I also wanted to mention here.
I have been accepted to Cal State Fullerton’s Graduate School where I will earn my Master’s Degree in Communication Studies with an emphasis in Tourism & Entertainment!
I’m really nervous for this new adventure, but I’m excited to be going back to SoCal. While it seems like I would be even busier, I anticipate having MORE time to spend on the blog/vlog as I will only be in school two days a week with no job YET. I’m sure that will change as I find work & school picks up, but we’ll climb the hills & valleys together as always 🙂

Hello everyone! As some of you can probably tell, I try to keep this blog not that focused on my personal life. If you’re looking to get a more in depth peek at my life, please feel free to follow me on Instagram/SnapChat/Twitter: @MissAl_Leigh. With that being said, I wanted to take a moment to share with you in more detail what’s been going on with me over the last few weeks & explain why I haven’t posted as much. First off, I am currently on the hunt for a new car. My mom was in a really bad hit and run while driving my car & tragically, Little Indy was totaled 😦 Thankfully my mom is fine though! Trying to find a car that can live up to the glory of my Scion xB has proven to be very challenging & taking way more time than it probably should.

Second, I have moved back to Southern California – at least for the summer. As I mentioned in a previous post, I am working with Coast Concierge Services as an Event Planner. My position there will most likely be ending in August so staying in Southern California all depends on me finding another position in the area. Truthfully, I could live anywhere at this point, so we’ll see what happens. If anyone knows of any positions I would be a good fit for, please let me know! 🙂 Third, I graduated from Chapman University at the end of May with my Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies. I found that Communication Studies was more academically focused than I’d like my career to be. I would like to work in the Entertainment or Non-Profit Industry doing Event Planning, Promotions, Public Relations, Publicity, Social Media Management, etc, something along those lines. I celebrated this accomplishment with friends and family from near and far in SoCal and Las Vegas! Check out the slideshow below for some pictures from the celebration!
The last thing I was distracted by was my 25th birthday! Yay milestones! Here’s a few pics from the NorCal family celebration my mom threw for me.
